John Saldanha - Lead Pastor

Pastor John was born and bought up in India. In the year 1990, He accepted the Lord through the ministry of a college campus ministry called the Union of Evangelical Students of India. He was involved with the UESI ministry ministering to college students in Mumbai, as well as preaching, teaching, and discipling in his home church.

In 1994 John married his wife and ministry partner Rosy Saldanha. They are parents to two children, Nidhi Saldanha and Amol Saldanha. They are in-laws to Clinton Parker and grandparents to Judah Parker. Rosy Saldanha has been serving alongside Pastor John faithfully in the ministry.

Prior to stepping into full-time ministry in 2001, Pastor John had 15 years of experience in the corporate and government world in the financial, administrative, human resource, and information technology sectors.

In the year 2000 Pastor John and Rosy were sensing God’s calling to step out in full-time ministry but did not know fully the plans that God had for them. Then, in October 2000, the Information Technology company that he was working for sent him to Fort Lee NJ, USA to handle their Human Resource operations.

While in Fort Lee, NJ they started worshipping with Fort Lee Gospel church (CMA). After a few months, they once again sensed God asking them to step into full-time ministry. While contemplating going back to India, Pastor Rick Spenst, senior pastor of Fort Lee Gospel Church, started praying with them and for them. Pastor Rick clearly sensed that God was asking Pastor John to step into ministry at Fort Lee Gospel church. John and Rosy started seeking God’s will, and soon God revealed his plans for Pastor John and Rosy to serve in that church as Associate Pastor.

Pursuant to that, Pastor John Studied at Alliance Theological Seminary and was ordained by the Christian and Missionary Alliance in 2006. He joined the staff of New Hope Community Church in June 2009. He was installed as the Senior Pastor of New Hope in the year 2019.
